"We received a very warm welcome by Sir Richard who gave us an informative and amusing history of his family home.
It makes such a difference for our visitors to meet the owners of these fantastic and historic manor houses; They really feel that they are being cosseted and cherished in every way. We certainly want to make them feel special when they have travelled so far.
They all very much enjoyed the home-cooked lunch and meeting the dogs! What a family affair!
Our guests thoroughly appreciated the whole experience of an 'Insider's View' of life behind the big oak door.... a great success, thank you!"
Susie Worthy, Colonial Williamsburg Group, U.S.A.
"A very big thank you for the visit to Tissington Hall. All the members enjoyed it very much. As one member put it, “I belong to the National Trust and do voluntary work for them, but to be allowed to sit in the chairs and the relaxed way we were guided round was fantastic. The National Trust could learn a lot from Tissington Hall.
Please pass on our thanks to Sir Richard for allowing us to visit his home and to park our cars in the courtyard.”
Mr Paul Bartlett, Rolls-Royce Enthusiast’s Club, June, 2007
"I would like to thank you for an extremely entertaining and educational visit. Without exception we were all impressed with both the Hall and the guides who were very informative and amusing. We will all be talking about our experience for some time."
